Working at Pro Beauty Center throughout most of my high school career provided a set of challenges that I was able to overcome. Time management was something that I had to adjust to right away, as working and going to school is not possible without it. To get things done in a time efficient way still with precision and craft is something I now specialize in.Helping customers with their needs and recommending them products based on their feedback was my favorite part of the job. There was a sort of fulfillment I felt when I was able to see that smile on their face as I catered exactly to their needs. Serving my community through knowledge of specialized beauty products was satisfying.I was given the opportunity to promote certain brands through creating window advertisements. I also highlighted certain brands in order to meet sales goals. This combined with throughout training on all the products in store, I was able to proficiently meet every client's needs.

My time at Studio Fifty Fifty was a summer job and also my first job. My biggest struggle to overcome during my employment here was learning how to function in the workplace. As a newly employed 16 year old, it was a big adjustment into a receptionist position in which I had no experience prior. I am proud of my perseverance and eagerness to learn.Working here helped me develop my customer service voice as well as problem solving. It allowed me to think quick on my feet and finish tasks efficiently.I enjoyed learning more about the beauty world, as this job was my introduction to it. I was able to work closely with hair stylists and learn more about hair products.
