Marathon – Texas City, TXField Survey Party Chief. Established boundary of new unit using a range of survey equipment: Sokkia Total Station & Tremble GPS System. Provided a topographical survey to ensure accuracy before starting to erect unit. Performed Civil checkouts and gave layout to support other crafts using a Sokkia Total Station. On this same site, we had to establish new power lines running across the plant. I used Tremble GPS to locate spots to drill and then used a Total Station to align the anchor bolts prior to pouring concrete. I met with the clients engineer regularly when finding discrepancies in their drawings and helped to provide a working result. Used Carlson Software to create 3d AutoCAD of site to give the client a visual of progress on structures.
