I am a founder and the only non-impacted employee at For Everyone Collective. With our team at For Everyone, we aim to push conversations into mainstream culture which fundamentally question systems of incarceration and inspire a vision of a world free from revenge. We believe modern systems of mass-incarceration, mass-surveillance, and militarized policing are among the most pressing human rights issues of our time.In all of our work, we aim to center individuals most impacted by the systems we work against and to provide creative, fulfilling, and well paying, opportunities for survivors of incarceration and their loved ones.Impact:Since it's founding in 2018, The For Everyone Collective has been able to send abolitionist merch and art across the world, while growing our team of directly impacted people; all of whom are paid an average of $20 /hr, with 100% covered health, dental, and life insurance, and an ownership stake in the collective. In addition, through our merch sales we have donated $80,000 directly to bail funds across the United States, freeing multiple incarcerated people. Our abolitionist messages have been seen by 1,000,000+ (and counting) people across the world. Educational Background:I graduated from Calvin University in 2020. During my time at Calvin, I served as a Student Senator, as the president of Calvin Startups, and as a tutor for the Calvin Prison Initiative. I founded For Everyone (formerly "Forgive Everyone Co") in 2018 at the end of my sophomore year and began working on the collective full time after graduation.
