Maintain gardens and landscapes within the parks of the Washington Park sub-district. Oversee the design, planting and maintenance of the high-profile Big Garden, which contains 49 beds in 2.5 acres. Work with seasonal employees and volunteers care for the space and interact with the many daily visitors and neighborhood members to keep them informed and invested in the gardens.

I served as a substitute instructor while the regular professor of bassoon was on sabbatical. This position included teaching individual bassoon lessons to students in both undergraduate and graduate levels, teaching the combined bassoon studio class to all students taking lessons, and teaching the bassoon and oboe methods class in which music education students in other areas learned the basics of teaching and playing the bassoon and oboe.
