As A business marketing student in the Eller College of Management, I was also the President of the Eller Professional Sales Club where I lead the E-board in all of its functions and communicate with sponsors and guest speakers. I love teaching sales techniques and professionalism to a large group. As a club of 87 members, we learn more about sales and the correct way to conduct ourselves in a business atmosphere. I am always looking for new ways to get involved and give back to my school and community.

I attended the 17th Annual National Collegiate Sales Competition at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. I trained 20 students for 6 hours per week for 7 months in B2B sales techniques and role-plays. The objective of the competition was to sell ADP products and services to a "prospective client" who acted as a business/franchise owner. I trained students how to effectively facilitate a complex consultative B2B sale. This includes how to probe for customer needs, overcome objections, present products, and close all in 20 minutes. I feel that training myself and others for this competition gave me a deep understanding of a complex consultative sale and as well as prompted my desire to compete and be the best I can possibly be.

Go-Box is a small Ecommerce company I started wile still in college. I aimed to help international students and travelers get all the things they need when traveling to San Diego for school or travel. Go-Box sells small travel packages that include everything from Sim Cards to Sunscreen. We also inform our customers about American culture, fashion, events, laws, and food.I have always known that starting my own business was my ultimate goal. Creating a business around my passions and skills was something I have dreamed about for years. A great business idea is one that solves a real problem for a real market. I have always been a traveler and loved hosting travelers. After seeing students and travelers spend large amounts of time and money on getting the bare necessities and gaining common knowledge of San Diego, I decided this was a real problem. I also noticed that there are over 20,000 international students and travelers that visit San Diego each year. This was a real market. After a year of thinking about it, I started Go-Box. I have developed all aspects of this business myself and have learned new skills in the process. Now, I can run Go-Box mostly by myself from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. Connelly, Inc. is a dominant direct marketing force here in San Diego. Expanding out of the Chicago land area, Connelly has brought its specialization in direct marketing and consultative sales to Southern California based off the demands of some of the largest Fortune 500 companies that we work with. As an Intern, I gained experience in direct marketing and sales for AT&T products and services. I also learned how to conduct interviews, train, and promote employees effectively. Not only did this internship give me new knowledge and experience, it gave me the motivation and the mentality I need to become successful.

Making pizza was just one of the skills and responsibilities I had as an employee at Rosati's Pizza. I learned how to cook various types of foods as well as track inventory of supplies. I also had to clean, take orders, and cater parties and events.

Working at Harkins Theatres in Chandler, Arizona gave me a chance to learn many things and challenged me as an employee and a customer service representative. I started by Ushering, which included responsibilities such as cleaning theaters and lobbies, managing supplies, and crowd control. I then moved up to cashier where I learned how to prepare food, handle money, and use operating systems. Most importantly I learned the skills it takes to be an outstanding customer service representative as well as an effective sales person.
