Using business as a force for good is my favorite kind of art. It’s so hard, but I love the challenge.I’m curious, so I’m a committed generalist.I get excited about what’s possible when good intentions and tight execution come together, and I love thinking big. At our core, we all share the desire to believe that the world is good, and that we contribute to that goodness.My deepest desire as a growing and aspiring social entrepreneur is to do meaningful work that brings us together, helps us see each other as unique and independent people, and binds us together around all we share as human beings.I’ve got a lot to learn.—I’m a Social Entrepreneur. I’ve started three businesses; two were successful, but all three were personally challenging learning opportunities in many ways.The last two businesses I’ve been a part of have had a foundational social benefit component, and I am eager to experiment more with melting social good with business models to create sustainable change and impact. I’m excited to see a more progressive capitalism with a longer horizon perspective evolving, and I want to help bend that curve.I am proud that my last business, Redfora, has gotten hundreds of thousands of people more emergency prepared; especially that Redfora Relief (Redfora’s Disaster Relief arm) has donated over $180,000 to disaster relief efforts. I am most proud of how our team created better options, responsible information, and easier ways for people to do the right thing.My strengths are in Leadership; Product Design; Strategy; Organizational Structure and Culture; Brand and Identity Design; Partnerships; Digital Marketing; Sales; Creative Content and Production.---I am eager to connect with those devoting energy to creating better outcomes in their chosen communities. I’m currently exploring the social challenges we face, the people tackling them, the possible solutions at our disposal, and ideas capable of real change. I'm focused at the moment on broadening and deepening my understanding and skill set.I’m interested in conversations about social entrepreneurship, civic discourse, democracy, social change, progressive capitalism, private/public partnerships, startup advising and mentoring, and ways I can share my experience for good.
