I serve individuals, couples, and families by providing person-centered therapy for depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, and substance abuse.

I provide psychotherapy and social work services for geriatric populations, as well as individuals with physical impairments, who are currently residing within assisted living and nursing facilities. My work involves providing cognitive behavioral therapy, treatment planning, conducting mental health assessments, and connecting clients with community resources that can improve personal wellness and independent living.

As a co-occurring specialist, I provided person-centered counseling, case management, and and medication-assisted treatment for individuals with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. I created treatment plans, performed clinical assessments, and utilized health screeners to ensure appropriate intervention use and availability of safety supports. I collaborated with an interdisciplinary assertive community treatment team to provide effective and comprehensive services using evidenced-based practices and harm reduction methods. I transported clients to medical appointments while advocating for client needs to physicians, employers, and government services to promote client-centered and ethical care. I located temporary and long-term housing by utilizing housing vouchers and collaborating with local shelters.

In addition to working with a caseload of adolescent clients as a student advisor, I provided clinical supervision to substance abuse counselors and peer support specialists, while overseeing the five phases of the Ozarks Teen Challenge program.

As a student advisor, I provided substance abuse counseling to young people struggling with substance use disorders and taught emotional regulation skills to adolescents with behavioral issues. I also facilitated psycho-educational and processing groups about healthy relationships, boundaries, the nature of addiction, and finding motivation for change. I worked alongside student families to provide education, locate community supports, and utilize mental health resources for on-going recovery.

As a chaplain, I provided pastoral care and spiritual direction to at-risk youth in residential treatment programs. I also collaborated with churches and spiritual communities to equip them to receive young people transitioning out of local programs, while facilitating practical ways for local congregations to serve the needs of this population.

As the admissions coordinator, I worked with families, organizations, churches, and the courts to connect male adolescents with residential treatment for substance use disorders and life-controlling behaviors.As the host of the Support Recovery podcast, I interviewed educators, counselors, clergy, and other helping professionals regarding effective ways to help parents and families support loved ones struggling with an addiction or related life-controlling issue.
