I am currently employed as a contractor at Alcon on the IOL Pilot Line through Premier Validation Services. I have led and operated critical tasks for feasibility and design verification. These critical tasks are completed across various laboratory spaces including ISO 14644-1 Class 7 cleanrooms. These tasks were compliant with GMP, GLP, and GDP. More specifically, I have been involved in CNC machining, ultrasonic welding, formulation development, materials testing, Fluid Accommodating Intraocular Lens (FAIOL) building, and Acrylic Intraocular Lens building. I have also volunteered to develop statistical models via Minitab to track trends in data and analyze our processes. More specifically, I have used the T-Test, ANOVA, Gage R&R, and other statistical methods in Minitab.

In this role, I mainly performed RT-PCR testing on specimens for COVID-19 and Influenza A and B. I also helped PCR tests for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia specimens. I helped report all applicable results to the Illinois state health department. All laboratory results were recorded via LIMS. I also assisted with a University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign research study by performing Sofia SARS antigen testing for COVID-19.

In this role, I was a contractor for Archer Daniels Midland at the Vitamin E Plant Laboratory through Apex Systems. I worked in a QC analytical chemistry laboratory. Our tests mainly used HPLC and Gas Chromatography. I was responsible for properly operating and maintaining laboratory equipment. I used the Chromeleon Chromatography Data System and Microsoft Excel to calculate results.

In this role, I helped compose an official product manual for the Ability Hand, a bionic hand designed and manufactured by PSYONIC. I utilized task management software called Airtable to track and ensure completion of projects and tasks. I created and assembled crucial mechanical parts for the Ability Hand. Some parts were developed with 3D printers. I created and organized several standard operating procedures. I also helped ensure compliance with the FDA since the Ability Hand is a Class I exempt medical device.
