Quality assurance testing and product planning:Working as a consultant for an emerging fresh food service company. Primary duties include writing out customer use case scenarios in order to plan for every situation as well as mapping out the product's user interface for desktop and mobile.Weekly meetings include discussions of improving upon what we've learned from beta testing and how to apply these findings to changes in the product strategy.The product is too young for official bug tracking software, but we are keeping a product backlog in order to track what is working and not working. I'll be responsible for setting up JIRA bug tracking when the team is ready.

It's a small Startup, so I do a little of everything, from managing product releases to making graphics when necessary. Primary duties include market research, conceptualization of features, wire-framing, customer testing, and managing progress of feature development, but duties also extend to interaction design, graphics creation, engineering management, bug filing, etc.

My primary role was testing the company's app on iOS mobile applications; iPods, iPads, iPhones, as well as testing our website, user console, and desktop device. Occasionally I also worked on Android phones and tablets as well.Duties included detailed bug documentation in JIRA, teaching new team members how to write proper bugs, writing test cases, and working directly with the developers to troubleshoot particularly tricky bugs.My attention to detail makes me a natural fit in QA and my instinct for great UI led me to not only filing the bugs, but to mock up possible solutions since the company was short handed on product designers. As a result I continued the rest of my time at the company as a product manager.

Quality Assurance testing on the company's desktop application and mobile application (Outlook and Blackberry). As part of an agile environment with a small team, I also acted as our in-house recruiter and event planner. I also introduced the employee recognition program, by which each week anonymous votes were sent in and announced at the week's end meeting to determine who the MVP for that week was. This was greatly popular and carried on after I left the company.

Skyparties was born of my natural enjoyment of throwing great parties. I was a one man wrecking crew, handling all aspects of each event, from venue discovery and booking to what color the of outfit the aerialists should be wearing for the second act. Skyparties quickly earned a great reputation; my only obstacle now being time to work on this additional passion of mine.
