Over the past decade I’ve transitioned from Aerospace Management into Software Development out of a desire to act on the same creative drives that made me a Lego, Play-Doh, and sand addict as a child. I love to create. Taking an idea, loose or well defined, and working with others to find a way to transform it into a new reality is my jam. The medium was never the focus in my youth, similar to how a particular tech or framework is not my focus but rather the tool through which my colleagues and I can accomplish our desires.Though I have a voracious appetite for learning new tech and have been on a 4+ year 📈 self-taught software development journey based in my past R/Python analytics past, I don’t always know the best way to get the job done. I do however thrive working with others to discover solution spaces together and decisively moving forward. I’m always looking for opportunities where autonomy is valued alongside an organizational ethos for collaboration, lifting each other up for a better result.I'm currently working primarily with Python (Django), Ruby (Rails), Javascript (React), and Elixir (Phoenix). Along with web development, I'm working in video encoding (AV1, H.26x) on a few projects.
