My law practice focuses on government affairs at a local, state and federal level. I specialize in legislative action, economic development, public finance and privatization and have extensive experience in formulating public/private partnerships. I also work in the area of land use and work with governments and developers in creating tax incentives which includes establishing tax allocation districts (TAD) such as the Atlantic Station project in Atlanta, the largest Brownfield project in the country. I served as the lead negotiator for the Jacksonville Suns in discussions with the City and ScheerGame Development, LLC for a 10-year lease for the $34 million stadium. I was also the principal negotiator for the City of San Diego in the Padres Ballpark Development Project. The City and its development agency committed $275 million to this project through a combination of growth in the TOT tax and use of tax increment financing. The Padres and the private sector committed to $115 million to this project from an array of sources including naming rights, team equity as well as other traditional private revenue sources.

Instrumental in the redevelopment of the downtown Atlanta business district. Negotiated the financial and business terms for Philips Arena and also negotiated many of the agreements for the 1996 Olympics.
