While working in this volunteer position, I directly assisted the president to interface with the Queen's community and guide the alumni organization through the suspension of Homecoming activities. I chaired the committee that organized three Alumni Assembly conferences at Queen's University.

Worked with senior research team to mature a silicon-based light emitting technology to 12inch wafer fabrication.• Worked collaboratively with Applied Materials, CPFC, Carleton and McMaster Universities to develop a deposition tools for rare-earth doping silicon oxide structures.• Managed the Carleton fab team to provide standard “production-like” support for thin film research complete with real time MES.

In this volunteer position, I managed the communications strategy for Queen's University's largest alumni branch. During my tenure, we designed a new website (complete with a simple GUI for easy updates) and implemented the new branding standards mandated by Queen's. In addition to our web and email presence, I designed and created postcard sized advertisements of upcoming events so that alumni could receive paper updates from the branch. In addition to the communications work, I also supported branch through the planning and execution of events.
