Claims Specialist – • Provide fair and accurate claim settlements while providing world class customer service to all of our stakeholders• Communicate with claimant regarding the procedure for filing a claim• Review claim information and other records to ascertain completeness and validity of claim• Oversee the arrangement, inspection and repair of damaged goods; monitor performance of contractors to insure repair is performed satisfactorily and timely• Correspond with all parties involved in the settlement of claim• Compute and calculate amount of claim; claimant is paid the amount due according to settlement agreement and company procedures• Determine which carrier/service provider is liable for damage of shipment; If chargeable, prepare a claims package with invoice and all documentation to support the settlement • Provide Support to Sale Reps when need to set up new policies with Unirisc – in most cases take out policies on their behalf if they do not have support staff available.• Monitor long term insurance policies to insure extensions are taken out when needed and take appropriate timely action.• Provide quoting recommendations for high value projects and movements • Risk Analysis of potential moves and the best program to use to meet the customers’ needs while protecting SGL interest.• Provide Education and Training to the SGL staff to understand exposure regarding claimsQuality Audits – AP Aging escalations research and reporting Unirisc – research and reportingPrepare and Manage Corrective Action Plans as it relates to minimizing preventable risk
