One of a small team of developers building and maintaining websites for many clients using ColdFusion, JavaScript/JQuery, and CSS. Manage servers, including email (spam filter, spooler, and webmail server), IIS, FTP, and DNS. Manage internally-built web-based customer service/trouble ticket system.

* Programmed bug fixes and enhancements for complex web-based supply chain management tool set. Tool set involved approximately 2400 ColdFusion web pages, a dozen interconnected MS-SQL databases, approximately 1000 tables, over 1500 stored procedures, and connections to the client’s Oracle database.* Took ownership of day-to-day response to automated alerts of problems from several MS-SQL scheduled jobs that managed the MS-SQL/Oracle database interface and data exchange. Developed and documented processes for dealing with the most common issues that were as efficient as possible. Investigated root causes of several recurring errors and corrected them.* Provided technical tool support, including user-generated errors and buyer team requests for manual data updates. Implemented streamlined processes for several of the more common requests.* Managed updates of content on www.sakhalin1.com in English and Russian, and developed updates for the site as requested, including creating the header banner and tabbed navigation system and CSS photo gallery.* Updated code behind www.sakhalinenergy.com on request, and created monthly newsletters for customers.

External site:* Developed, managed and published Intel Desktop Board content on www.intel.com, about 3000 HTML pages. Maintained pages throughout product life-cycle.* Created site-wide consistency in desktop board product information and decreased duplication of effort and overlap of content on the various groups’ sub-sites through working closely with three marketing teams and a product support team to coordinate desktop board product releases on the public Web site (typically 10-20 per year).* Exceeded expected response-time while performing second-level support for external users who reported problems with the site through the central feedback form.Internal site: * Acted as a technical resource for the department intranet Web site. This included day-to-day operation when the primary contact was on vacation or sabbatical, and ColdFusion and database maintenance and troubleshooting.* Improved the efficiency of internal processes by developing two applications in ASP.NET/VB

* Increased the stability of Intel's dynamic Web sites by porting ColdFusion forms to ASP using VB. Assisted in transition of all external applications to ASP.* Smoothed transition of www.intel.com administration from Intel Architecture Labs (IAL) to the Sales and Marketing Group (SMG), and from Unix to Windows NT by providing all front-line author support. * Created the author database and associated forms and reports to automate author processes. Handled all author administration and support for up to 300 authors, including permissions and password protected areas, then transitioned author administration to newly-formed www.intel.com support team.* Increased the training level of employees posting content to www.intel.com by helping develop the author certification process.* Owned transition of 30 users from cc:Mail and OnTime to the Microsoft Exchange/Outlook pilot program.

Four 3-month temporary assignments, each in a different department. Final rotation was providing Unix system administration support for www.intel.com.* Transitioned www.intel.com from an experiment on a lab server to a mission-critical marketing tool as part of the www.intel.com technical team. * Improved the quality of www.intel.com overall by creating several tools in Perl, including an HTML syntax checker and a Table of Contents generator.* Validated IHDL to VHDL translation of the P6 Bus Cluster for use as the P6 Bus Functional Model. Involved testing IHDL, comparing results to output from simulation of VHDL, tracking errors, and correcting VHDL code.* Translated Verilog code received from Stanford University to IHDL and synthesized the translated code and display schematics.* Performed software testing and test automation for StorageExpress. Wrote batch files to test backup and restore functionality. Created scripts to automate testing of the user interface.

* Performed technical and administrative functions associated with Novell and PC-NFS networks, providing hardware and software support and maintenance* Met aggressive deadlines by getting new PC-NFS network operational over winter break, ensuring no lab downtime when students returned for winter quarter.* Handled multiple projects, including writing and updating on-line documentation related to the PC Lab.

* Performed a competitive analysis of Novell NetWare Network backup systems. Compared Legato NetWorker, Cheyenne ArcServe, and Palindrome Network Archivist to Intel’s StorageExpress backup system. Installed and used each system to gather information for use by sales and marketing. Wrote a paper on each system.* Demonstrated competitive products to participants in a regional sales training meeting. * Ran an in-house demonstration of the competing systems for StorageExpress engineers and technical writers.

Provided in-company testing support for utility software running under Microsoft Windows. Set up various hardware and environment configurations to ensure the continued and consistent performance of the software.

* Provided software and hardware support for PCs within Facilities Maintenance Organization (FMO). * Supported software including MultiMate, Lotus 123, Word for DOS and Windows, Excel, Pagemaker, ProComm Plus, and NCSA Telnet. * Configured, installed, and provided component-level support for microcomputers and peripherals operating on a Novell network.
