CurrentResearch & Development for 7T Magnetic Resonance Imaging (also referred as Ultra-High Field MRI), which provides an increased signal-to-noise ratio in the images but also comes with new challenges such as static, transmit and receive field inhomogeneities. My role is to come up with seamless solutions for radiographers and radiologists to unlock the full potential of 7T MRI and provide a more precise diagnosis to the patients.In tight collaboration with the University of Melbourne and 7T MRI scanner installed there, I particularly focus on the development of parallel transmission techniques which take advantage of a simultaneous and independent control of different transmit channels to increase the degrees of freedom in the manipulation of the resultant transmit field.
