We grew like wildfire at PatientIQ and I was once again inspired to replicate the success I had seen. A lot of the success we had was because we were a very cohesive team and all worked very well together. For that reason, I focused on building a startup around people rather than the idea. I networked with entrepreneurs on YC for months before I met my 2 cofounders and we went on a journey to build machine learning for graph data. GraphML is a startup focused on machine learning for connected, graphical data. We built and trained models on blockchain data to predict if NFT sales were legitimate or meant to inflate the price of the asset. Our goal is to sell this technology to businesses benefiting from ML on graph data.During this time, I also completed my first triathlon.

I learned so much when I was at Avant - coding, business operations, financing, product, analytics - plus the fact that I am always up for a challenge meant it was time for me to take the plunge and try founding a startup. I was also eager to grow my tech stack so every project I worked on I would include new technologies.Project 1 - Recruiting Platform DevelopersI was getting recruiting messages and often times they were for the wrong roles. Conversations with recruiters were often vague and I only got clarity once I spoke to engineering manager. I thought it would be easier to communicate directly with engineers. Further, I thought developers would more likely accept a recruiting invitation if the company shared content on what they were working on. So I created a platform for content sharing and direct messaging. This was my first project and I learned so much. Firstly, I had to build an app "from scratch". I also had to host it. I had to build the backend and all of the ui components. I had to integrate with an API to send emails.Project 2 - Web ScrapingOne of the challenges I had in Project 1 was finding people to reach out. This is a challenge that every business faces (unless they are fortunate enough to have people reaching out to them). So I built a web crawler that could find business contacts based on some search criteria. In this project I learned about asynchronous processing - because I was running a headless browser to scrape the data - I was hogging tons of resources. I also learned how to parse web pages and use Selenium for interacting with headless browser. As I collected contacts, I would cold email and call them to sell the very list they were part of. To support myself I played poker nights and weekends.
