Key qualifications :I have more than 25 years of in-depth experience in physical oceanography and in its operational/industrial applications.I hold a Ph.D. from the University Pierre et Marie of Paris (1990) and a University Accreditation for Research Supervision (2007). I worked as Research Engineer at the Laboratory of Dynamical Oceanography and Climatology in Paris (now LOCEAN) and then, at the Institute of Marine Sciences and Technology in Carthage (TN). I have been involved in several marine sciences research and development programs as SALTO, MATER, SESAME, ECOOP, CANTICO and PERSEUS, ODYSSEA funded by the European Commission. My research activity focuses on marine observations and monitoring (in-situ, glider, satellite), hydrodynamical modeling, operational oceanography and marine environment sustainable management. I have acquired a strong knowledge and skills in data analysis and numerical modeling. Furthermore, I have been involved as marine consultant in large projects as "Protection of Gulf of Gabès Marine Resources" with SOGREAH,"Tunis Bay Financial Harbor" a Real Estate Dev. project funded by Gulf Financial House (Bahreïn) and involving a consortium of consultancy firms (Comete, HOK, IBI, HL, GoMarine). I was also involved as metocean and marine engineering consultant in the project of "Deep Water Port of Enfidha (TN)" with Royal Haskoning (Netherlands).From 09/2007 to 02/2016, I have managed the Marine Engineering Division of SAROST (TN), which provides Marine Services to Offshore Oil & Gas companies as site surveys, metocean studies, EBS, EIA and a large range of marine engineering advices. Currently, I'm providing consultancy services: wave and current modelling, design of coastal structures, dredging environmental management plan, marine construction risk assessment, assessment of metocean extreme events, site assessment for desalination or wind farm, climate studies, etc...In May 2018, I have been appointed as ODYSSEA Project Officer at SPA/RAC.I'm currently working as freelance consultant in the of physical oceanography, MSP and marine engineering.
