Outline:•As a Site Civil Engineer I was responsible for everything that happened on site from site supervision,day-to-day timesheet and Health and Safety. Organising daily operations and managing four other engineers working under me from other construction companies. Supervising and mentoring 2 students on site on everyday tasks of a construction project. Working with community leaders and updating them on the project and resolving queries they might have. All-rounder with everything on that bridge project.Key Responsibilities And Achievements:• Managed a team of 3 construction companies and oversaw the successful completion of a R7 Millions Bridge Construction project ahead of the schedule.• Developed and implemented plans for reducing construction costs resulting in an almost R3 Million savings for the Client by hiring local service providers and hiring experienced local people which automatically removed all the extra expenses but still produced quality results and created jobs in the community.•Conducted Site Inspections,kept a record Health&Safety File as well as Environmental Health File and audits which resulted in 100% reduction of injuries and other work-related accidents and conservation of all the vegetation and water species under the bridge which weren't meant to be removed or harmed while constructing the bridge.• Directly dealt with the public and the Community Liaison Officer to meet project deadlines,resolve and queries they have and oversee the fair hiring process which led to 5% of our employees being people with disabilities.

Outline:Involved in the DoT project building 5 bridges around Ulundi and Nongoma and completely completing 2 out of 5.Key Responsibilities:•Writing daily and weekly reports for the Site Engineer.•Assist with material testing and land surveying.•Record time-sheets,keep expense reports and bill appropriate jobs.• Review and prepared drawings.Achievements:• Landed a job with the company as a Site Civil Engineer after my internship completed which enabled me to implement everything I learnt as a Junior Technician.
