Working on European research and innovation action projects :1. Twin-CRP-POD ULCS (Project Manager for CMT)The project aims to minimise fuel consumption, improve manoeuvring abilities and increase navigational safety of an Ultra Large Container Ships (ULCS) by introducing innovative and high-efficiency propulsion system. The project get funded by Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie (BMWi) under MarTERA ERA-NET cofound scheme of Horizon 2020. In this project, CMT will use the expertise on the production and shipyard planning to assess the new building and retrofitting of twin propeller twin rudder and twin CRP-POD configurations, and LCPA study.2. RAMSSES (Realisation and Demonstration of Advanced Material Solutions for Sustainable and Efficient Ships). With focus on the application of lightweight material in work packages:1.1 Integration of system for internal walls and superstructure of cruise ships into shipyard process (Leader:Meyer werft, Germany)1.2 Lightweight decks of high tensile steel in cruise ships (Leader: Fincantieri,Italy)1.3 Modular decks for RoRo vessels (Leader: Uljanik and Flow, Croatia)1.4 Modular light system for less critical internal walls and superstructure (Leader: BaltiCo, Germany)1.5 Lightweight rudder flap (Leader: Becker Marine System, Germany)1.6 Life cycle performance analysis of component and demo cases and development of business model3. LASH FIRE (Legislative Assessment for Safety Hazards of Fire and Innovations in Ro-Ro ship Environment)With focus on the ship integration, communication work packages and LCC (Life Cycle cost) assessment
