My motivation has always come from helping others, from my work experiences to years of volunteering in the non-profit sector. Grant writing gives me the opportunity to use my knowledge and skills to help organizations as well as individuals get the funding necessary to make their projects a reality. I have completed continuing education courses in grant writing in order to write compelling grant proposals. With my experience with K-12 and higher education, the hospitality industry, non- profits, and corporate endeavors this allows me to tailor my writing to any prospective audience. My background in journalism, and creative writing, has provided me with insight into presenting ideas and information in a clear and concise manner, with my knowledge of grant writing, this enables me to review and critique clients' proposals and offer constructive advice on content, clarity, and adherence to specific funder guidelines.
