About Susan (Sue) Lomonte

I became a Certified Medical Office Assistant/with Health Unit Clerk Specialty in 2009. I took six years and worked in various medical settings, gaining as much experience as I could from each one. I also went back to school again for Health Care Aide in 2012 and worked in a middle to late stage dementia unit 2015.In 2015 a position to teach the same course (Medical Office Assistant/Unit Clerk) I went to school for became available and in a short time, I realized teaching was my passion. I have enjoyed mentoring and teaching students at career colleges with the skills necessary to work in various medical settings. It is an intense course that opens their minds as well as the many new opportunities for the graduating students I take pride in knowing I make a difference in someone else's life; whether it be teaching students for a new life-changing career or building their confidence. My passion and experiences are my strengths. I have now been teaching for 10 years and I love it.
