Stefan is an award-winning filmmaker and globetrotter with a rich cultural and professional background. Growing up in Austria and France, he is fluent in five languages—German, French, English, Spanish, and Portuguese. He has spent 12 years in Portugal and several years in Latin America, broadening his global perspective.As a Production Manager, Stefan brings over 18 years of experience in directing and producing documentaries as well as a Master at WU Wien. His work, including his award-winning feature-length documentaries VADIO and EL REY, is known for its observational, sensitive, and creative approach, capturing the nuanced realities of his subjects with empathy and artistic flair.Stefan’s actual role at Malaika Pictures as Production Manager of "YANUNI" is a perfect culmination of his deep connection to Latin American culture and his long-standing commitment to environmental and social issues. Since joining the team in early 2020, he has been instrumental in shaping the “Amazônia” project, which aligns perfectly with his professional expertise and personal passions.Outside of his work at Malaika, Stefan has developed a recent passion for counseling and coaching, currently undergoing specialized training in these areas. He also enjoys playing music and exploring nature, often accompanied by his camera and his beloved dog, Muffin.
