About Sarah Stephenson
After more than a decade working in the aerospace industry and volunteering in the nonprofit sector, I finally answered my call to the world of philanthropy. Joining Nonprofit Plus, LLC, brings me such joy because I get to pursue full time the career that I have quietly nurtured and dreamt of for years. Fueled by a passion for social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), I’m eager to join the movement of grassroots nonprofit leaders and changemakers to help make a meaningful impact in our world.All my life, I have been involved with nonprofit organizations beginning in my childhood in Jamaica where I helped to raise funds for Jamaica Musical Theatre Company and SOS Children’s Village. This continued when I moved to the United States and worked with my sister, Rachel Ramjattan, CFRE, doing graphic design work and event planning for nonprofits in South Florida. Drawing on my sister’s groundbreaking work in fund development capacity building, I'm committed to helping grantmakers: • Strengthen grantees’ organizational and infrastructure capacities so they can become more sustainable;• Save time and money by deploying a turnkey, cost-effective model that leverages fewer consultants to support peer learning and facilitate coaching;• Support learning communities of grassroots executive directors to strengthen their networks, collaborate, and share knowledge, strategies, etc.In doing so, we equip nonprofits with the tools they need to thrive, and develop diversified, sustainable revenue streams, ensuring they can sustain their vital missions for years to come.I look forward to partnering with philanthropy’s best to amplify impact and drive positive change in communities around the country.
