I am currently responsible for developing Thiess’ strategic branding guidelines, providing direction and delivering tactical solutions in line with the company’s communication strategy and global brand positioning. My role requires influence and collaboration with senior leaders, and key stakeholders to ensure communications support business objectives and provide greater employee engagement. I liaise closely with Thiess’ parent company to ensure the Group’s branding objectives are met and upheld while managing and providing guidance to casual staff, contractors and suppliers.

I manage a dynamic workload which often includes urgent bid and award submissions, where liaising with clients and suppliers to provide innovative, high quality and timely outcomes is paramount.

While freelancing, I worked across a range of industries and relied on my ability to learn quickly, adapt intuitively to new brands, to integrate and become a valued team member in a short time. I provided graphic design, illustration and finished art services for assignments varying in length from one day to several weeks.

During my time in this role, my priority was providing high quality, innovative design across print, display and online in a time of government transition. This involved rebranding materials and often adapting them from a print to a digital format in order to reduce production costs and meet the newly instated austerity measures.

My role was focussed on providing engaging internal communication materials across a range of media for a largely site-based audience. From briefing to completion, I liaised with both corporate and site-based clients, and suppliers, to provide innovative design solutions while maintaining brand integrity.

Working for Queensland's largest super fund, I was responsible for creating campaigns promoting QSuper's services to its members, while managing the print and online production of annual reports, PDSs, forms, fact sheets and magazines (many of which required print runs of over 500,000). I sourced talent and directed photo shoots for many of these publications and managed suppliers.
