Supported 2-3 teams (as teams were moved around and re-organized) within Integrity (aka Trust and Safety) and up to 12 engineers. These teams were focused on making it easier to integrate existing Integrity protections into new Meta products (across Facebook, Instagram, and other foundational services), responding to new integrity threats quickly and systematically, and exchanging integrity signals and supporting trust and safety investigations across the industry, helping to make the entire Internet safer.Core responsibilities included career growth and development of engineers, influencing direction and roadmaps of the teams, ensuring smooth and efficient development processes were in place to enable engineers to do their best work, recruiting/hiring, and collaborating with other Integrity teams (to ensure our tools could provide a comprehensive and streamlined Integrity ecosystem) as well as with our internal users (to ensure our tools were easy to use and effective).

Nov '20 - May '21: Led Rally's Coaching organization, providing online (live video) and offline coaching for members across several programs, in support of managing diabetes, weight loss, and general care. Directly supported 5 engineering leads/managers and indirectly supported 50 engineers across 4 full-stack teams and 1 native mobile team. Platform included live streaming video, pre-recorded video and text content, SalesForce integration for schedule and calendar management, and integration with various health insurance and wellness products.Mar '19 - Nov '20: Led Rally's Cost Transparency organization, part of the Find & Price Care product, providing easily accessible information on the price of health care services to enable patients and other care purchasers to make the best decisions with their healthcare dollars. Incorporates previously unavailable pricing data into a scalable web platform with a streamlined user experience. Grew the organization from a single development team of 6 engineers to 35 engineers across 4 teams, directly supporting the 4 manager of those teams.Core responsibilities included overseeing the engineering teams, including architecture and development process, communicating with partners and stakeholders (both internal and external to Rally), providing high level technical direction for the platform, and road-mapping to ensure delivery of features aligned with expectations. Also mentored both engineers and managers, promoting several Principal Engineers, Architects, Tech Leads, and Managers.Member of Rally's architecture oversight group, providing design and architecture support across all of Rally's teams and ~400 engineers to ensure consistent, high-quality platforms and implementations for all of Rally's products and infrastructure.

Transitioned from an individual contributor role focused on Rally's infrastructure code to lead the cost transparency team of seven engineers, as part of the Find & Price Care product. Led a complete rewrite of the product, shifting from medical service-based costs to "care path"-based costs, presenting users with information that better aligns with how they interact with the healthcare system.Integrated with our partners via APIs and file ingest and provided cost transparency REST APIs for use within Rally.

Lead engineer focused on infrastructure, monitoring, and API integrations, as well as feature development for Rally's health and wellness product. Technologies included Scala, Play, MongoDB, and AngularJS. Designed, led, and implemented Rally's migration from Liftweb to Play in the web app layer, leading to a 5x performance increase using 1/2 the server footprint, as well as laying the foundation for Rally's shift to microservices.

Implemented the goals and missions feature of Rally's health and wellness product, using Scala, Play, MongoDB, and AngularJS. Designed and implemented Rally's first roles and permissions framework to provide authorization services for both end users and administrative users. Introduced and reinforced agile processes using Scrum and implemented engineering and coding standards throughout the company.

Served as technical lead and/or architect for healthcare and life science clients, including the National Cancer Institute, Noblis, and Life Technologies. Led teams of 6-8 engineers, provided architectural oversight, designed APIs, and implemented features, using Java, Spring, Hibernate, PostgreSQL, and REST.
