The Long Island University Chapter 1524 is a nonprofit that was founded on the LIU Post Campus in 1986. PDK holds free monthly programs open to undergraduate and graduate students, educators, administrators, higher education faculty, and those interested in public education. These meetings include speakers and activities designed to further the aims of PDK and to enrich all participants.

Every art class that we offer is uniquely created for you. We encourage every age and artistic level to join our art classes, and we specialize in bringing out those dormant artistic skills hidden in everyone. Expression through art allows people to express themselves in a way they may not be able to in there everyday environments. Our mission is for you to become less tense, express how you feel about the world around you in a visual way, and become motivated to create artwork that inspires you/others around in tranquille environments. However, this is more than your typical paint class or better yet, paint night. We strive to stick to educate our guest more than just the paint by number scheme that paint nights emplore. We are more than just a business model that seems to exclude art education for a night of simply entertainment and drinks--oh yea, and painting. Our students are deeply important to us. We want you to be our guest for a lifetime experience, not just one single night of fun. Sequoyah Art Studio holds classes at various venues, sites, etc. We do not have a set studio for events--its more fun this way!
