• Lead, mentor, and individually contribute to a small, talented, and high-performing development team within the Information Systems department that uses the Microsoft technology stack: C#, ASP.NET, Entity Framework, MSSQL Server along with modern front-end technologies: jQuery, and AngularJS to develop custom “gap” solutions, integrations, and reports to solve problems that go unaddressed by packaged software.• Oversee all system integrations including HL7v2 & HL7v3, EDI, XML, APIs, flat files, and other types of custom integration techniques.• Played a significant role in two multi-million dollar HIS conversion projects. The first in 2011 as an individual contributor going from McKesson HBOC to McKesson Paragon. The second in 2019 as a technical lead going from McKesson Paragon to MEDITECH Expanse.

Entered into three-year, six-figure software contract funded by a CMS grant. Collaborated with a cross-organization team of developers at Mayo Clinic, Philips Medical Systems, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Lawrence General Hospital to implement a custom clinical data integration between a McKesson hospital information system named Paragon and a critical care system named AWARE.

• .NET Developer on a critical care product, IntelliVue Clinical Information Portal (ICIP).• Together with my stellar mentor, we implemented the first prototypes of a web interface for the product.• Identified and patched several defects that existed in a dependency of our solution, the Jupiter API.

• Researched methods for reducing trivial medical mistakes by increasing communication amongst clinicians.• Implemented distributed systems and middleware technology using CORBA/ICE to create a wrapper around pre-existing “legacy” medical applications.• Designed prototypes of the proposed system to obtain exposure and required project funding.• Utilized cross platform technologies such as QT and ICE for prototype development to mimic a real-world environment.
