Together with an amazing team of Microsoft and partners, I developed the official websites for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Sochi in 2014 and Rio de Janeiro in 2016. I found it extremely rewarding to help millions of global visitors watch their favorite sports and athletes on their smartphones and computer screens. Our international team was comprised of Microsoft Azure software architects from Seattle, Brazil, Russia, and the Netherlands. We were responsible for implementing highly loaded web applications with infographics updated in real-time, protection against natural disasters, and 24/7 on-site support. My specific role focused on website functionality.After the Games, our customer, the National Olympic Committee, acknowledged that our Microsoft team implemented the projects flawlessly and did not allow a single failure.

I mastered the role of team leader while guiding a group of 7 engineers at this B2B and B2G outsourced development company. I learned Scrum/Agile methods and management basics while overseeing several projects simultaneously and successfully balancing the load. I understood how important it was to have the right teamwork to deliver the required combination of speed, quality, and cost of software development while meeting rigorous deadlines for demanding clients.

My passion for helping people access support for professional development blossomed while I was creating software for online assessments. We used traditional testing methods and simulation tasks, cases, and gamification to evaluate teachers' computer literacy and IT competency across 14 regions. The project helped thousands of educators learn computer technology and adapt to today's rapidly changing world.Learning various testing techniques and how to automate them planted the seed for developing an assessment platform for business and diving into the world of HR and talent development.
