I am a mom first and foremost of two amazing boys. Brayden who is 10 and Roland Jr. Who is 5. I feel as though being a mother and what it teaches you is completely undervalued in the world today. The lessons I have learned being a mom I believe are more valuable than any technical skills I have learned in my 25+ years as a working adult. Patience, multitasking, humility, perseverance, tolerance, prioritizing, problem solving and creativity are all traits I have mastered being a mom.Juggling being a mom and having a career has made me stronger and more resilient than I even knew I could be. I am thankful every day for my little boys and all the amazing lessons they have taught me along the way.Even as a child on the school playground I have always been a leader and organizer. I am a leader by nature and enjoy seeing the impact I can make not only in the workplace but in my every day life. I spent most of my adult life in retail management at Walgreens and having that opportunity allowed me to hone in and shape my management and leadership skills.I decided to take all I had learned in my years of managing a business and branch out into my own photography business. This allowed me to have the freedom to apply my business management skills while also fostering my creative side. In January of 2018 I was presented with an opportunity to learn the disability insurance world. Because I am the type of person who loves to learn new things I jumped at the opportunity. I have spent the last year learning my way around the insurance world from ground zero. I found it to be very interesting and rewarding work.I also started working part time as a Personal Care Attendant with Cerebral Palsy in January of 2018 helping to care for my brother who is paralyzed and brain injured from a motorcycle accident in 2006. He has a primary PCA, and I help to fill in about 10 hours a week to assist my brother with his daily living activities.In October 2021 I started working for the Better Business Bureau of Central New England and have worked my way up to my current position - Director of Operations.
