Talking staff/clients through a series of actions either face to face or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues. 7. Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports. 8. Supporting the roll-out of new applications. 9. Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues. 10. Responding within agreed time limits to call-outs. 11. Testing and evaluating new technology. 12. Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment. 13. Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation 14. Tracking all technology incidents, requests and change orders. 15. Maintaining records of software licenses. 16. Managing stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies. b. Troubleshooting & System Resolution 1. Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults. 2. Repairing equipment and replacing part. 3. Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system. 4. Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate). 5. Prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time. c. People: 1. Establishing a good working relationship with software developers, vendors, coworkers, other department etc.
