Electronic engineer with more than 17 years of experience in technology-based entrepreneurship, academy, research, industry and university teaching, specifically in embedded electronic systems (Hardware). Co-founder of three technology-based companies focused on the internet of things (Netux, Ubidots and Nx3).I have been a university professor and researcher since I was 20 years old, teaching programming courses in Electronic, Electrical, Aeronautics and Telecommunications Engineering. In 2008, working in the Cardiovascular Dynamics Research Group of the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellín, I developed WHAM (Wireless Heart Arrhythmia Monitoring), an electronic system for monitoring biomedical signals and detecting cardiac arrhythmias in real time, to this system was granted a patent of invention. In 2006 I founded NETUX (www.netux.com) a technology company that develops real-time medical variable monitoring solutions within the Internet of Things concept. Netux has been recognized as one of the companies with the greatest potential for growth and development in Colombia and Latin America by different entities, obtaining prizes and recognitions by: INNPULSA, Ruta N, Fundación Bavaria, IBM, Colciencias, INNOVA The Presidency of the Republic of Colombia. Currently Netux has more than 25,000 sensors transmitting information in real time to the internet, deployed in Colombia in more than 150 Institutional Clients (Clinics, Hospitals and Ambulances) and is entering Chile, Mexico and Peru, replicating the cases of success obtained in Colombia. These sensors allow monitoring in real time different medical variables of patients, vital signs and hospital processes allowing timely decisions and save lives. In 2011 I co-founded another technology company UBIDOTS (www.ubidots.com) a technology start-up specifically focused in developing a web platform for the Internet of Things, this initiative emerged as a Netux Spin-off.
