As a Technical Architect at Woolworths, a major Australian retailer, I apply my knowledge of Client Devices and Server Hosting (Edge) to create solutions for our retail environment. My role involves designing IT solutions that support Woolworths' infrastructure and improve operational efficiency. I focus on using technology to enhance retail operations and customer experience.

I led the organisation's clients through significant cloud and digital transformation. As a Technical expert, I managed stakeholders and conducted thorough analysis of all business processes and current technologies. I worked with clients to create a cloud strategy, defining a plan and migration and modernisation their IT estate.With a deep understanding of Microsoft 365 and Azure technologies and their adoption within the enterprise. I led many organisations in adopting the Modern Workplace, including Intune, Azure AD, Teams and SharePoint.

As the Lead Edge Hosting Engineer, I was responsible for designing and implementing solutions to over 3,000 trading sites across Australia and New Zealand. This included influencing hardware selection, working with stakeholders and other business units to deliver new solutions, and strategic direction of 6,000+ virtual servers, critical to business operations as well as other infrastructure within our stores.

My role as Infrastructure and Systems engineer tasks me with managing many of our clients Infrastructure as well as designing and implementing new and upgraded environments. I have a wide diversity across technologies and am often required to learn new technologies as part of customer onboarding or assisting external vendors.My Main focus areas are:- Hyper Converged Infrastructure. Leveraging new technology, such as Microsoft's Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) and Hyper-V, I've been able to successfully design, deploy and manage high resilient and performant infrastructure, built on commodity hardware.- Unified Collaboration, a powerful tool for organisations, I design, deliver and maintain voice and UC solutions and strategies for our clients. Typical technologies include Skype for Business, Cisco Call Manager, Digium Switchvox. - Powershell Scripting. Providing clear improvements on monitoring, automation and billing, through the creation of scripts that assist the business operations.- Server Infrastructure. Planning, Installing and Maintaining the systems that keep businesses running and up. Ensuring that the entire stack is effectively scoped and works together- Data Protection. Ensuring our clients can keep up and running through the use of robust and efficient DR and backup strategies
