My areas of technical expertise are in image/signal processing, communications, 2D & 3D machine vision, and automation on platforms including STM32, Linux, Windows, Nvidia GPUs and a variety of PLCs. I design and build signal processing and machine vision systems for high-speed automated inspection, product monitoring, and multi-protocol communications.I've written firmware for devices ranging from a clothes dryer to a sophisticated 3D camera, specialty sonar, and a multiple device audio signal analyzer for concert halls.Extensive experience in designing and building software applications for image and signal processing, automation, and low level embedded control of hardware using FPGAs, MPUs, PLCs, Linux. Extensive experience with C, C++, C#, SQL, UNIX shell and comm tech including BLE, SPI, I2C, CAN, UART, RS-232/422/485, Cell - GSM, G3, LTE, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, TCP/IP protocol, etc.Extensive experience working at the hardware interface level with device drivers, embedded code, microprocessors, and firmware. Expert-level experience with EE & RF tools including oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, signal analyzer, VNA, LabVIEW, logic Analyzer, DAQ, Saelee analyzers, etc. Comfortable with Mathematica, Mathcad, MATLAB, Simulink, and related tools.I am very comfortable teaching and speaking to large groups. I have excellent communication skills and work very well with people at any level from operators to C-Level executives. I am comfortable traveling internationally and currently spend about 50% of my time working with customers outside the US.I own and operate a facility in the Dallas, TX area, well equipped for building automated machine vision and signal processing systems.
