At The Charles Schwab Corporation, as a securities broker, I became interested in the Human Resources function including Human Capital Management, Continuous Quality Improvement, Training and Development, and Operations Management. As a Six Sigma company where ROI methodology was used frequently, I took advantage of their tuition reimbursement program and earned a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Denver Seminary. I have a passion for ministry, people, business, and efficiency, and therefore best practices in HR. During the Market downturn of 1999-2003, I was afforded the opportunity to build a family and start a small private practice in counseling and human resources consulting. I consult mainly with small businesses in my community and veterinary hospitals in the Denver Area.The Market downturn of 2008-2009 provided the opportunity to join Denver Seminary in the Educational Programs Department. As a Project Manager, I was charged with managing the compilation and editing their two-year, three-accrediting agency re-accreditation. In addition, my responsibilities included several other projects including onboarding all of the Associated Faculty for the Seminary each semester, Designing their on-line Orientation and Training program for Associated Faculty, and Compiling data from Student End-of-Course Assessments. As a driven, goals-based professional, I completed my second Master's in Human Resource Development at Villanova University in 2016 to prepare for a transition to full-time opportunities in Human Resources. Recruited by Mercer PeoplePro in 2015, to join this start-up, I worked as a contract consultant providing on-demand HR and Business Consulting Services to small-to-medium-sized clients.I continue to maintain a private practice in Counseling including my work as an Independent Contractor with BetterHelp. Recently, I added Educational Advocacy to the list of services I provide families. As an individual with disabilities, and a mother to two young adults with disabilities including Dyslexia and Complex Medical issues, I am a fierce advocate for equal access and opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
