About Scott Bachman
I love to code and learn about new technologies, especially new programming languages and platforms. I am always striving to figure out and see what works. I enjoy doing client and front-end development and I strive to make software simpler and no-nonsense for users.I began programming in the fourth grade and haven't looked back since.My career has evolved through a variety of technologies. It began with the proprietary PL/SQL-based Oracle Forms and Reports tools and Oracle Database. From there, things quickly moved to the more open and flexible Java Enterprise Edition using libraries such as Struts and TopLink to build web applications as well as thick client applications in Swing before finally settling on rich internet applications using Adobe Flex with a Java back end. Due to standardization and consolidation within the company, I then made the transition to .NET building rich internet applications in much the same way using Silverlight and Entity Framework and other .NET technologies in the back end. With the demand for mobile-friendly applications came a different approach: modern, responsive mobile web applications. I focused on the front end, prototyping a new way to build single page applications using Durandal with Require.js and Knockout before settling on Angular as the standard for all new web development moving forward.
