I am currently in the final year of my Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at the Queensland University of Technology. I work as an electorate officer in the office of the Hon. Milton Dick MP, and have done since December 2020. In addition to my work, this is my second year as a non-executive director at the QUT Student Guild. The Guild is a multi-million dollar non-profit organisation tasked with advocating for the interests of students to QUT, providing academic support and welfare, and fostering a positive campus culture through events and QUT'S many clubs and societies. The QUT Guild is proud to represent the interests of over 50,000 students and provide support and assistance across all facets of university life.Prior to my student exchange to Copenhagen, I sat as a member of multiple QUT committees, providing a student voice to the University. These included:* University Academic Board* Sexual Assault and Harassment Working Party* Late Assessment Policy Implementation Working PartyAs a Vice President at the QUT Guild, I was able to hugely expand the welfare offerings of the organisation. Some of my achievements included:* A massive expansion of the food bank servicing hundreds of students, including the addition of a second location* The implementation of a welfare program worth more than $40,000, during the peak impact of COVID-19 on students*Beginning and facilitating a life skills program, Adulting 101, which continues today
