• Led a research program in the Department of Biochemistry under the supervision of Prof. Justin Nodwell that discovered and described the mechanism of action of novel antibiotic small molecules• Communicated results through published manuscripts, conference posters, and talks selected from conference abstracts, leading to a Biochemistry Ph.D. Best Talk Award in 2017 and the Biochemistry Lyons Poster Award in 2015• Contributed to the department and university community as a student union executive by leading the Life Science Career Development Society’s (LSCDS) Networking Reception, organizing the annual departmental retreat, heading the Biochemistry Graduate Student Union (BGSU), and more, leading to the 2018 David A.
