I offer private and group lessons, for all ages and all skill levels, as well as one-on-one player improvement training for advanced players (stroke analysis and correction, and other fine-tuning). I also have long experience running tournaments, and have been actively involved in local league management.

In over 8 years with EFF, I wore many hats. I was one of the world's first professional online activists, pioneering many of the techniques still used today (e.g. checklists of standardized online action alert features, such as cut-off dates, contact information to verify that alerts aren't hoaxes, etc.) Throughout my tenure there I was the webmaster of what was, because of EFF's "Blue Ribbon" online free speech campaign, the 4th most-linked-to site in the world (according to Webcrawler stats; we were only beaten by Microsoft and Netscape's browser affiliate/logo programs, and one major search engine.) I also wrote for & edited over 100 issues of EFF's online newsletter, "EFFector". I have been quoted in almost every major newspaper in the country multiple times, as well as many domestic magazines and foreign publications. I also co-authored (with Robert B. Gelman), "Protecting Yourself Online: The Definitive Resource on Safety, Freedom, and Privacy in Cyberspace" (Harper, 1998)

ACTION was a coalition of virtually all of the "players" in Internet activism (activism with regard to the Internet itself, including online privacy, online freedom of expression, reducing barriers to entry etc.) It was coordinated by the ACTION@eff.org mailing list. EFF hosted but did not "control" the coalition, which consisted of around 40 organizations from all over the world, though the largest number were US based. The working group slowly faded away as issues changed, organizations came and went, the censorship threat diminished, and intellectual property became the "hot" e-issue by the early 2000s.

Ran the main student computer lab (usually on the night shift). Assisted students and sometimes faculty with computing/networking needs (Windows, Mac, Unix, NeXT, VMS, VM/CMS).

I worked with tartan expert J. Charles "Scotty" Thompson, Fellow of the Scottish Tartans Authority, to design a unique tartan (and some variants) for the family, as it did not have one. It has since been registered with the various tartan registries and organizations.
