Kirkuk, Iraq

Advisor to Iraqi Air Force in the USAF's first ever expeditionary flight training squadron. Taught Iraqi Air Force student and instructor pilots to fly in Cessna 172 and 208 aircraft while operating throughout northern Iraq. Assisted with development and implementation of complete initial military pilot training program. Developed all initial training syllabi and supporting courseware, taught academic classes on flight fundamentals, and advised Iraqi unit leaders on officer development. Directed daily flight operations as Supervisor of Flying and monitored all training sorties to ensure aircrew safety while operating unarmed light aircraft in a combat zone. Directly assisted the Iraqi command chain with all aspects of planning and executing the first Iraqi student class graduation ceremony which was attended by senior Iraqi ministers, military commanders, and world-wide media agencies.

Columbus Afb, Ms

Provided primary, instrument, formation and aerobatic instruction to initial USAF pilot trainees. Managed all international military student flying training programs for Columbus AFB, including the Aviation Leadership Program and various Foreign Military Sales support initiatives. Supervised the activities and training of 65+ international military students from 37 different countries on an annual basis. Researched, documented and reported student status updates to the USAF, Department of State, and international governments. Developed additional training programs, when necessary, enabling struggling students to achieve the desired learning objectives. Served as Supervisor of Flying, directing the daily flight activities of up to 100 USAF training aircraft operating within the Columbus AFB training complex and surrounding states.

Tinker Afb, Ok

Supervised flight deck initial, upgrade and mission qualification training for all E-3 AWACS pilots, flight engineers and navigators assigned to the 552d Air Control Wing. Managed simulator contract training, developed syllabi, and taught mission qualification academic classes. Embedded with Royal Jordanian Air Defense Forces during Operation Iraqi Freedom as a liaison officer. Commanded 14-hour E-3 combat missions flying from Oman during Operation Enduring Freedom, conducting multiple in-flight day and night refueling operations. Earned the 405th Expeditionary Operations Group Commander's Combat Leadership award.

Tinker Afb, Ok

E-3 AWACS Aircraft Commander and copilot conducting long endurance training and combat support missions in the United States and from Saudi Arabia. Supervised and led a crew of 20 aircrew members to safely transit international airspace, conduct inflight refueling and operate the $300 Million E-3 AWACS aircraft. Commanded 14-hour long missions in support of Operation Noble Eagle, providing vital long range radar protection for the Washington, D.C., area in the wake of the September 11, 2001, attacks.

Excelled while completing the fixed wing transition course in the T-37B trainer.

Ft Rucker, Al

Graduate of US Army UH-1H Methods of Instruction Course. Managed all student training for the USAF's only helicopter initial pilot training unit. Transitioned paper records to electronic system. Developed and taught instrument and crew resource management academics. Conducted primary, instrument, tactical and formation flying to entry level pilot candidates.

Managed helicopter aircrew qualification and standardization programs for the USAF's premier senior executive airlift wing. Conducted aircrew initial and recurring evaluations, developed written tests and monitored aircrew proficiency in a "no mistakes" environment. Conducted immediate response, high visibility operations supporting US government national security plans.

Cheyenne, Wyoming Area

Supervised daily operations of a 12 pilot unit operating 7 UH-1N helicopters. Conducted nuclear security and search and rescue missions in the Rocky Mountain region. Managed 2600 hour annual flying program, ensured aircrew proficiency in basic, instrument, formation, search and rescue and tactical flight tasks. The unit earned the 1993 Outstanding Search and Rescue Unit award from the National Search and Rescue Association for rescues completed in the Rocky Mountains.
