Just Heel it is a shoe embellishment company. Our adhesive metallic and rhinestone bling strips adhere to shoes covering damaged areas or placed anywhere on the shoe for a little Up-Do. We are serious about: Sustainability-Helping eliminate toxic waste. Over 400 million shoes end up in our landfills every year. Creativity: Which has been proven to improve mental health, reducing Anxiety and depression and teaches problem solving. Community: We are inherently sociable beings, feeling disconnected from others deeply affects our self-perception, emotional and physical health. Rehabilitation: I come from a long line of, “if it is broken, fix it.” It deeply troubles me that we live in such a disposable society filling up our land fills with clothing and shoes that are torn or worn down, with a tear or in need of a little repair but otherwise in good condition. 99% of women when asked said they tossed their shoes in the trash once they became damaged. The remaining 1% either donated them or took them on as a hot glue gun project. I needed to come up with a simple fix where we could reverse the numbers to 99% of shoes being upcycled and only 1% in the landfill but I knew it had to be a simple, repeatable, and beautiful solution. Thus, Just Heel It was born.
