As a Technology Leader in the media and entertainment industry, I have expertise in managing computer graphics application development to innovate in the areas of visual effects, animation, and virtual reality. I am passionate about building, leading, recruiting, and mentoring exceptionally talented multi-disciplinary teams.At Zoic Studios, I led the Los Angeles Pipeline, the New York Pipeline, and the Labs Application Development departments to support the delivery of 30 productions per year for episodic television, film, commercials, and interactive projects. I drove the transition from a Maya centric FX pipeline to a Houdini centric pipeline. I oversaw the development of component-based asset management in Maya, a VR cityscape experience for Capital One, and artist tools for Houdini, Nuke, Maya, and V-Ray. I collaborated with the Vancouver Pipeline and Global Engineering teams to build, integrate, and deploy cloud rendering into the artists’ workflow.At Oculus VR, I lead 2 teams responsible for developing 3D asset review and validation tools for internal artists on the Oculus Avatars product for upcoming hardware launches. I combine my strong background in visual effects production with my ability to facilitate collaboration across different disciplines in order to align the team on a shared vision and lead the team to execute that vision. I have an open-door policy for anyone to bring up their questions, and I coach my direct reports to achieve their project and career goals.I love learning about industry trends and new technologies in computer graphics, and I make it a priority to attend SIGGRAPH every year, either as a presenter or a participant. By constantly learning about computer graphics innovations, I can create strategies and roadmaps for innovation for the teams that I lead.I am a member of the Visual Effects Society, and I volunteer on the Awards Committee.
