Steven Copp holds a Master of Science in Library Science from Clarion University and is a former member of the American Library Association (ALA), the Association for Library Services to Children (ALSC), and the New Jersey Library Association (NJLA). Certified by the New Jersey State Library as a professional librarian, Steven brings a wealth of expertise to the field.He presently serves as a College Sales Support Associate at Macmillan Learning, and periodically extends High School Support through Bedford, Freeman & Worth, renowned leaders in higher education and high school textbook publishing. Prior to this, he served as the Youth & Young Adult Services Librarian at the Upper Shores Branch of the Ocean County Library (OCL), catering to residents of the Barrier Island at the Jersey Shore. His tenure with OCL also encompassed leadership positions, such as Youth Services Supervisor at the Brick Branch and and Branch Manager of Beachwood.Before joining the library sector, Steven gained valuable experience in the corporate realm. He was the Human Resources Assistant for the Sales & Marketing division of Reliance Standard Life Insurance, where he played a pivotal role in recruitment, HRIS management, and employee relations. His early professional experiences include a role as a Human Resources Intern for Boiron USA, a global leader in homeopathic medication. In this capacity, Steven actively contributed to recruiting, benefits administration, and overall daily operations of the Human Resources department.Beyond his professional commitments, Steven is a resident performer with the Spring Lake Theatre Company in Spring Lake, NJ, showcasing his passion for the arts.
