About S. Michael Plaut

I have 35 years experience on the faculty of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where I served as a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry and Assistant Dean for Student Affairs (1973-2008). From 2008 to 2013 I had a part-time clinical practice in eastern North Carolina, specializing in the treatment of sexual and relationship problems. I also taught the Human Sexual Behavior course at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. In both my academic and administrative areas, I have been active in regional and national levels. I have served as editor of a professonal journal and officer in a number of organizations and societies.
