After the acquisition of SICOM by Global Payments and its merger into Xenial, I continued as Manager of Hungarian Operations. This phase brought forth new challenges and responsibilities. My focus remained on management, but now included labor-specific accounting, communication with US-based project managers, and interaction with finance and corporate administration. With stakes higher than ever, my role demanded meticulous attention to detail, as it involved the handling of transactions amounting to hundreds of thousands of dollars weekly. I actively embraced complexity and drove further automation, particularly through server-side JavaScript, to streamline processes. My tenure with Xenial represents a culmination of my experience, where I adeptly managed diverse responsibilities, bridged global communications, and significantly contributed to the company’s operational efficiency.

Transitioning from a contractor to Manager of Hungarian Operations, I assumed a pivotal role in shaping SICOM's Hungarian entity. While maintaining my technical acumen, my primary responsibility evolved into a managerial position, representing the employer and the team. I leveraged Google Apps Script extensively to automate business processes, enabling greater efficiency within the Google ecosystem. At SICOM, I embarked on a transformative journey from being a Full Stack Developer to playing a key role in establishing and scaling the Hungarian operations of the company. Initially, as a solo contractor, I worked on SEMS, SICOM's back-office system that facilitates QSR managers in labor scheduling, inventory management, and financial reporting. My multifaceted role expanded to include the recruitment and leadership of a high-performance team of 50 full stack developers, QA professionals, and technical support experts. I delved into application redesigning, refactoring, design principles (SOLID, KISS, DRY), and Clean Code for sustainability. Concurrently, I took the initiative to create an ideal work environment for the team, fostering collaboration and productivity.

In my role as a Web and Database Developer at Cybertec, I was immersed in the world of database administration, optimization, clustering, sharding and custom solution development. I gained invaluable insights into PostgreSQL and honed my skills in PL/PgSQL stored procedures. I was entrusted with the challenging task of implementing a tool for the partial duplication of a complex neural network database with over several dozens tables and lots of foreign keys. Additionally, I wrote the v1 of PGWatch, a diagnostic tool for databases, utilizing PHP, OOP, and MVC methodologies. This period was instrumental in fortifying my foundation in database design principles, performance optimization, and developing scalable solutions for intricate data systems.In PGWatch, I used the (back then popular) Yahoo User Interface framework (YUI) for js ui.

At Carussel Group, I thrived in a challenging environment, developing the official Opel car configurator and related products for Central and South-East European markets. I was instrumental in optimizing performance, reducing loading times through innovative caching strategies, and ensuring data accuracy. Collaborating closely with data maintenance teams and adhering to General Motors Europe’s guidelines, I played a key role in developing a versatile engine that powered both consumer-facing configurations and complex dealer-focused price quotation tools. My toolkit comprised PHP, PostgreSQL, HTML, and CSS within an OOP and MVC framework.
