Colleagues describe them as "Smit served as a Math and Science tutor and mentor for our pre-college students. Smit always approached his work with students with a smile on his face and willingness to help. I would recommend him in any student-facing role!" and "Smit and I have worked closely in the same team. I can assure you that he is a very hardworking, sincere and diligent person. He is ever willing to go above and beyond to unearth solutions to problems thrown at him. I worked with him closely in client areas like mobile and web. I worked with him initially in client side mobile experience where he has helped me get onboard on the mobile area. I remember him helping me navigate the codebase and understand the new version of the UI upgrade that we were working on. He helped me extensively in reviewing my PRs and gave me timely and accurate feedback(s) that has helped me grow. Whenever I was stuck on some problem and needed help, he was the person to whom I can readily go. He’s very approachable and never says “no” even when he’s occupied, these are some of the qualities that I highly appreciate. A few highlights that I remember, he has put a very sincere effort in bringing down the e2e test pipelines running time which greatly accelerated the overall development pace. He also keenly solved many development infra problems which impacts greatly to the overall team. I also worked with him in the Search area. He has tremendous contribution in the search parser area and has helped in making the advanced search parser. He has helped me making/reviewing design docs integrating the advanced search APIs in multiple surfaces. He has mentored me in lots of different areas pertaining to both client and service. I can assure you that he will be a great asset to any organisation!"
