About Smith Aaron

I have had the pleasure working for Nebraska for close to two decades in, Health and Human Services, NDCS, CFS, and currently with the Department of Administrative Services. In that time, I have held roles in a professional capacity such as a Supervisor, ICF-DD Manager, Programing Coordinator, Program Accuracy Specialist, and Quality/Compliance Administrator for Nebraska’s Home and Community Based Services overseeing Nebraska’s four waivers. Was the states chair for the new Mortality Review and Critical incident Management Procedure. Obtained my white and yellow belts through the State of N.E. in LEAN. I graduated from Bellevue University with my bachelor's in healthcare management. Personally, I enjoy working in human development either in the DD field or youth rehabilitation, although I do have a couple years’ experience in adult corrections with NDCS. I have assisted in developing and getting up and running a couple of Nebraska’s new facilities/programs, such as the Crisis Stabilization Unit at BSDC in Beatrice, and the new Youth Treatment Facility in Lincoln with OJS. Both were groundbreaking in nature and thus far been an essential need for State of Nebraska’s residents.

Listed skills include Government Administration, Microsoft Office, Government, Administration, and 1 others.
