At Vouchr, I contributed to a range of projects for our mobile gifting application across multiple platforms and pivots; from native app, to web app, to white label solutions:- Full Stack Development: Created backend solutions for the iOS, Android, and web versions of the app, focusing on robust database and feature support using GCP. The backend supported many different payment systems allowing any FI to integrate with the backend. Built Microservices to move funds on gift claim for FIs like Wirecard.- Leadership: Led a team of fall stack developers and mentored coops.- Android Development: Collaboratively developed the Android version of Surpriise, a unique gifting app where gifts are unlocked only when recipients arrive at specific locations. Integrated technologies included Android development tools, PayPal for transactions, Google Maps API for location services, and Facebook SDK for social media integration.- Web Development: Led the initial development of the Surpriise web application, employing a variety of web technologies (React, JS), enhancing the application's reach and functionality.- Merchant Platform: Co-developed an online platform for merchants to run promotional campaigns and reward programs. Used by FIs like Wester Union to exchange their points for gift cards.- Internal tools: Created an online platform to create and manage all of the gift templates, used by our internal and external teams of designers.- Merchant Solutions: Designed a portal for merchants without their own gift cards, allowing them to create and embed a Surpriise app on their sites, akin to social media 'like' or 'pin' buttons, preloaded with merchant-specific details.- Bookmarklet: Created a bookmarklet for the Surpriise web app that populates gift options from any product page, enhancing user interaction and gift customization.
