Under direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, plan, organize and coordinate the operation, maintenance, and repairs to District’s central plant (s) chilled water and hot water generation and distribution systems and controls at all campuses; perform skilled mechanical work in repair, inspection, servicing, troubleshooting, and alteration of systems and associated equipment; assure central plant(s) operated to maximum efficiencies and maintained for full life expectancy of system.

• General operation and maintenance of electrical systems to include one Solar Mercury 50 Gas Turbine with 4.6 MW output, Two 16 Cylinder Caterpillar Diesel Generators with 2.0 MW output each. • General operation and maintenance of mechanical systems to include one BROAD BE-500 Absorption Chiller with 1540 Ton Cooling Output, Four 700 Ton York YK Water Cooled Centrifugal Chillers, Five 150 HP Chilled Water Pumps (VFD), Five 100 HP Condenser Water Pumps (VFD), Four Marley SPX Cooling Towers, two 330 Ton Daikin AWS Air Cooled Screw Chillers and two MMBTU Lochinar Crest Condensing Boilers. • Responsible for the physical security and emergency response in the COGEN Plant, Data Center and supported Facilities.

• Execute the daily QA activities on contractors, fabrication & construction within shipyard.• Liaise with vendor, owners and surveyors pertaining to commissioning activities/ final sign off on all test memo/ITR.• Spear-heads investigation and resolution of production related problems through methodologies. Implements pilot improvement activities and introduction of new internal processes.

• Coordinated directly with DEPOT level contractors to diagnose failures and develop timeline for immediate and long term corrections to vital hydraulic, pneumatic systems.• Managed mechanical system inspections logging completion, corrective actions and parts used in the repair, to effectively track equipment trend data.• Strictly adhered to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards in the disposal of Hazardous Waste and repairs to Air Conditioning and Refrigeration systems.• Researched OSHA standards with regards to Hazardous Material, and developed an internal policy on the identification, proper labeling and removal of such hazards. • Liasoned with the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute in the training of over 60 command personnel in structural firefighting which greatly enhanced the safety of base personnel.• Managed and maintained an annual budget of over 1 million dollars for the purchase of required PPE, training of command personnel and numerous service contracts to maintain equipment at 100% mission readiness for the President of the United States and First Family. • Revised, implemented and supervised a comprehensive training program and was point man for an on the job training program that resulted in zero advancement test failures. These implementations enhanced quality of life for those involved.
