The clients that we support are primarily Maritime or Oil and Gas. Often the customers are in remote locations and communications is key to their business. We have to meet strict SLAs for escalation and the KPI are monitored by management. As a result clear records keeping and fault prioritisation is very important. I primarily focus on troubleshooting Cisco equipment to isolate root cause and apply a fix remotely.We are also directly customer facing and keep them informed and manage expectations throughtout faults

Emis provide computer software services to NHS Primary Care Trusts throughout the UK and internationally. As a network consultant I was responsible for:• Upgrading, troubleshooting and problem solving at client premises on EMIS installed systems running in house developed software • Performing hardware upgrades and resolving hardware issues on a variety of workstations and server types• Creating and improving current procedures for installation and troubleshooting of hardware and software• Liaising with users and managers to determine the nature of problems, develop solutions and manage user expectations as to how and when issues will be resolved

Operation Mobilisation (OM) is an international charity working in approximately 200 countries with 3,500 staff worldwide. The OM International Communications Team (ICT) is responsible for defining and meeting the technology needs of the overall organisation. My duties within ICT involved:• Providing daily support to the Carlisle office, 3 satellite offices and individual remote users operating internationally. • Working in a dynamic delivery focused team that serviced IT needs of a combined staff of approximately 100 people requiring an understanding customer requirements and providing innovative solutions to problems. • Working with Linux based server applications and in house developed Linux server software.• Understanding the need for structured systems and communicating this strategy clearly to users and IT professionals alike.

Rotech Subsea is a provider of specialist subsea equipment based on a similar technology to that used in the Rotech Engineering hydraulic drilling motors.
