My experience includes in the classroom as a teacher championing educational programs like AVID, and out-of-the-classroom partnering with district and community leaders.My goal has always been to break down barriers and provide opportunities for people from all backgrounds to excel. I firmly believe that every person deserves access to challenging and enriching educational experiences whether it be through technology access, supportive programs, or challenging curriculum.As a leader, I've fostered community engagement in our schools creating community among parents, district administrators, and educators. I’ve also led improvements in assessment techniques and literacy programs among teachers, aiming to address the diverse needs of their students.A fun fact about me is that I am a published author of a children’s book!When I’m not championing initiatives within schools, you can find me in a hockey rink, grabbing Starbucks with my daughter, leading kitchen dance parties, sweating at the gym with my friends, or singing car karaoke.
